Today at Wray Organic Cleveland we tasted some cultured nut product cheeses by Miyoko’s Creamery, a part of Miyoko’s Kitchen. Cheeses sampled were Double Cream Garlic Herb, Double Cream Sundried Tomato and Double Cream Chives.
The cheeses were very tasty and I bought the Sundried Tomatoes version as it was hubby’s favourite. If you know anyone that is vegan or has a diet that is dairy free please let them know about these cultured nut cheeses. They taste delicious! You wouldn’t know these were not dairy cheeses. They are creamy and go well with crackers or on their own.
“Sumptuously rich and creamy, stretchy and gooey, sharp and tangy, smoky and fresh – these words describe a delicacy that I often enjoyed before I gave up dairy products. I spent years creating delicious, kinder alternatives that would not harm animals, our planet, or our health. Today, I am thrilled to be able to share them with you! From my kitchen to yours, with joy. Miyoko”
It wasn’t until I got home that I found that the main ingredient was cashew nuts!
Ingredients: Oganic Cashews (61%), Filtered water, Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Dried Tomatoes (5%), Organic Chickpea Miso (Organic Chickpeas, Organic Rice Koji, Sea Salt Water, Koji Spores), Sea Salt, Nutritional Yeast, Organic Garlic Powder, Cultures
